A good share of the North Sydney work is on pools nobody owns individually: podium pools, rooftop pools and shared pools in apartment complexes, where the person organising it is a building manager or a strata committee. Building pools are a different job to backyard pools, and the difference is mostly about accountability. They get used by a lot of people, they carry a heavier bather load than a family pool ever does, and someone has to be able to show what was checked and when. On the residential side the pools are usually small and courtyard sized, where low water volume makes chemistry move fast and equipment ends up in whatever corner was available.
